Lab Plans

Okay, you are lucky enough to be given the chance to be a PI. What do you do first? Well, I don't know the answer but this is one of the problems I have been presented with. Above is my space that I have been allocated. How do you make a decent working environment out of it? Can't say I know the answer, stay posted. For advice I'd say think pretty hard about the things you need. Walk through a couple of labs to check out things you like and dislike. You may not have a lot of choices but you will have some so make the most of those.

Here is a picture from the war torn streets of Iraq. The look on this Iraqi child's face says it all. He is part of the small Jewish minority trying to piece together a life in the apocalyptic streets of Baghdad.

Do you have to carve an office and/or computer room out of this space, or is this purely lab space? I am assuming that there are X-ray facilities elsewhere.

Computer room yes, office no. Purely lab space, for the most part.
